What was the highlight of Century Plaza Hotel
I would certainly would come back for another stay.
Clean hotel. Staff helped adequately. Comfortable beds. Rooms were much nicer than I was expecting. Room was a comfortable size. Close to many restaurants and convenient stores. Small fridge in room. Train station is just over 1 km away.
Has some older infrastructure in room. Push button air conditioning, bidet was made by 'National' and had a dial. But all worked well.

What was the highlight of Century Plaza Hotel
The Bubble hotel.
Hotel and facilities while a little tired were in immaculate order. It's definitely a relic from the Bubble of the 80s and 90s. byThe public bath on the second floor was a welcome surprise. There are numerous restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. The Japanese room we stayed in had a comfortable sitting room separate from the elegant nine mat tatami room. Bed linen fresh and crisp.
The futons were quite thin. I'm fairly used to futon on tatami but this felt pretty much like sleeping on the floor. The property itself is a bit of a hike from Tokushima central and not really near anything. We resorted to taxis to get to an from the station for efficiency.

What was the highlight of Century Plaza Hotel
The pool is listed first on booking site but no mention of an extra charge to use it. Sad.
The beds and pillows were great, a large lobby and we could go in and out of parking for only 800 yen during our stay. The large bath was clean and had amenities.
After checking in, we were all looking forward to using the pool for the 30 minutes we had before meeting friends for dinner. My grandson was so disappointed when we chose NOT to pay an additional 1200 per person to use the pool for such a brief time. Also, I wish they had asked if we wanted to add breakfast when we checked in. There were five of us staying there and asked for a taxi. The receptionist could have ordered a taxi for all of us. When one arrived, it could not seat all of us and we had to wait for another one.
